2014 Dirty Dozen Race Recap
The Dirty Dozen in Warda actually had quite a few categories with two different races, the 6 hour and 12. The LCR crew did the 6 hour solo. We had a great turnout with 11 making the starting line. The weather was decent with the rain holding off and the course was in great shape. The start was a lemans type start which consisted of a mass 300 yard run to your bikes. The run was chaos and no one followed the rules in the transition area. Bikes were mounted and ridden straight through with crashes right at the start. Carl had the hole shot and got on the trail 3rd in line. Josh and I got caught up in the barney train while Carl, Andre Bertrand and Chad Ross....read more

Piney Hills Classic Race Recap
The 5th race of the year for the Louisiana Mountain Bike Championship Series was the Piney Hills Classic in Ruston Louisiana. This year’s Piney hills classic was the 20th anniversary. This race is usually the largest race of the season because it is also on the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association (TMBRA) schedule. Last year we had close to 300 racers.
The day before the race we had quite a few LCR riders including myself, make it to Ruston to preride the course. I can without a doubt tell you that the course was in the best shape possible for a race. The trail was completely swept and clean of all debris, there was very few wash outs and the ground was mainly hard pack and clay. All of this changed at...read more

LCR Comes Up Big in First LAMBRA Race of the Year!
It’s the morning of race day and the team started to arrive in the parking lot of the park in Monroe at about 7:30am. Scott had just pulled up in the new team trailer that had a fresh coat
of paint on it and brand new sponsor logos covering it. Very professional! We all started to unload as the sun was starting to rise over the trees warming it to a chilly 37 degrees. The wind
started to pick up and reach its peak for the morning of about 12mph. Every one pulled out their trainers to not only warm the legs up, but...read
Warda Dirty Dozen Race Recap
Earlier in the week when Carl Barrow and I figured out that we would be the only LCR riders going to the race we started coming up with
strategies. Carl and I have similar ride styles, train together, go to all the same races, but have never ridden in any of events together. Mostly because he has better starts and is able to
break away by a quarter mile or so by the end of the first lap, but the gap never gets too large between us. Since we normally keep the same pace...read

6 Hours of LOCO Race Recap
Robert Landry, Dwayne Landry, Josh Campbell, Mike Lyons, and I started the day out early hitting the road at 5:00AM heading north. The weather conditions were less than favorable but still not as cold as I had anticipated. When we finally arrived at Caney Lake the temps had dropped even further. It was COLD, to say the least. As it got closer to...read more

Race Recap by Robert Landry
The Cat. 3 race started at 8:30...along with the rain. A wet and slippery 12 mile loop proved to be a memorable race for all the attendants. Some of the challenges included slippery bridges and roots. LCR member Chad Smith did his part in cleaning the trail by picking up a stick with his lip! (pictured left) read more...
